Description
Mifflin Elementary School, formerly known as the Lincoln Place School, was a part of the Mifflin Township School District. In 1929 this district became a part of Pittsburgh. The old school was replaced in 1931 and renamed Mifflin, presumably in memory of the borough in which it had been located. An addition was erected in 1956. The school serves the Pittsburgh communities of Hays, Lincoln Place, and New Homestead.
