Description
Morse School was named in honor of the American artist and inventor of the telegraph machine and its code, Samuel F.B. Morse. Morse Elementary School, opened in 1874, was located at the corner of Twenty-fifth and Sarah Streets in Pittsburgh’s South Side neighborhood. The school was closed in 1980 and the property sold to the Pittsburgh Housing Authority in 1982.
