Description
Overbrook Elementary School, built in 1928 and located at 2140 Saw Mill Run Boulevard in Pittsburgh’s Overbrook neighborhood, was named for a plan of lots in Fairhaven. Shortly after Overbrook Borough was annexed by the City of Pittsburgh on January 6, 1930, the school was referred to as Overbrook Central. In 2003 Overbrook Elementary School had a total enrollment of approximately 148 pupils and offered programs and services including the Speech Therapy/Itinerant Vision Impaired Program, the SECTEM Program (energy conservation), and the Mediatio Center/Life Skills Center.
