Description
Construction workers position a steel beam during the construction of 525 William Penn Place (formerly the U.S. Steel-Mellon Building). Behind the construction workers is the roof of the Union Trust Building at 501 Grant Street. Across the street is the Carnegie Building, former headquarters of the Carnegie Steel Company, torn down in 1952, on Fifth Avenue. Beside it is the Frick Building at 437 Grant Street.
