  • A man sits at a table reading a book, and a woman reads a book to a child in a chair in the background. This image is part of a series within this collection called the Patalis Family Photos. According to the original metadata for this series, the Patalis family used the Family and Children's Service or Family Service Association of Allegheny County. Further research performed at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh led librarians there to believe that the couple in this family are Joseph Patellos (1910-1996) and Adella Bernatavich Patellos (1914-1994). However, this identification has not been verified by living members of the Patellos family.
