Description
Mary Craft Hardy (1907-2000) was Secretary to the Manager of Carnegie Music Hall in Pittsburgh, a church organist for the Church of the Nativity in Crafton and other Pittsburgh churches, and member of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Organists Guild. Hardy talks about starting employment in the Carnegie Music Hall in Pittsburgh in 1930; organist Charles Heinroth and his concerts and family; the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and some of their activities; organist Don Wilkins; organist Marshall Bidwell; impresario May Beegle; and the way concerts and recitals were run at the Carnegie Music Hall.
