Description
Destruction of the original Fern Hollow Bridge (sometimes referred to as Forbes Avenue Bridge). The 447 foot bridge connects Regent Square, Wilkinsburg, and Point Breeze with Squirrel Hill via Forbes Avenue, over the Fern Hollow Creek in Frick Park below. Built in 1901, original bridge was replaced in 1973. The bridge collapsed on January 28, 2022 taking with it nine vehicles including a Port Authority bus and injuring nine people.
