  • Councilman Daniel Winters (second to the right) with his family in the City Council Chambers on the occasion of his swearing in as City Controller. According to the December 5, 1929 edition of the Pittsburgh Press, Daniel Winters was immediately sworn in after nomination and election by the Pittsburgh City Council for the role of City Controller. The quickness was to resolve the vacancy made, as the previous City Controller Henry O. Evans had resigned.
