Description
Lee T. discusses his family, their sharecrop farm in South Carolina, and helping his father work on the farm. Not attending school as a child, and his feelings towards young people and education. Moving up North around 1916 (unsure), first to Petersburg, Virginia, then to Homestead with a group. Staying in a boarding house and starting work in the mill. Disconnecting from his family that remained in South Carolina. His experience working on a labor gang in the mill. Attending Southern Baptist Church, but not exclusively.
