Description
When the Great Viaduct that spanned the Little Conemaugh River was washed away, Pennsylvania Railroad construction teams worked 24 hours a day got two weeks to replace the viaduct with a temporary trestle bridge. This allowed the railroad to resume shipping relief supplies to Johnstown.
