Description
D. L. Clark Company executives commemorating no-hitter achieved by Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher John Candelaria on August 9, 1976. Candelaria was the first Pittsburgh Pirate since 1907 to pitch a no-hitter at home. Candelaria achieved the no-hitter on the first ever "Candy Night" at Three Rivers Stadium against the Los Angeles Dodgers. During this promotion, the D. L. Clark Candy Company distributed 10,000 free candy bars to fans at the stadium. Throughout his career, Candelaria was often referred to as the "Candy Man."
