  • From 1946 until the mid-1970s, the Sisterhood of Rodef Shalom Congregation sponsored an amateur theatrical group called the TemPlayers, under the leadership of Lillian Simon Freehof, wife of Rabbi Solomon B. Freehof. The group created and produced original dramas, sketches, and revues on subjects ranging from serious religious subjects to parodies of popular musicals.
