Description
View of the Sharpsburg Bridge, also known as the Highland Park Bridge or Aspinwall-Highland Park Bridge, spanning the Allegheny River. The bridge, which had a total length of 1850 feet, was erected in 1902. The Sharpsburg Bridge connected 19th Street in Sharpsburg with Butler Street at Baker Street on the Pittsburgh side. In 1938 the bridge was replaced with the current Highland Park Bridge.
