Front row center holding the basketball is Fleming Flippy" Reynolds, standing second left is Ray Outlaw, "L.D." Lawson, a six foot ten transfer student from Westinghouse High School is under the basket, fourth from right is James Jackson and coach George Cupples on the far right. They are wearing practice uniforms with "Fifth Ave" printed on the front."
