Description
Originally one of the mansions on Pittsburgh’s “millionaire’s row,” Marshall House, the building shown here, located at the corner of Fifth and Shady Avenues in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh, is now the home of the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. The general design of the building suggests an English home of the Carolean period. The Center for the Arts offers classes in art in its many studios and exhibition galleries. It also operates a shop where the art of many local artists and craftsmen is sold.
