Description
Taken in 1966 before the development of what was to become Oliver Plaza and then subsequently PNC Plaza in downtown Pittsburgh. The photograph shows the old Grogan Building at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Wood Street. The Grogan Building housed the Grogan Jewelry Company, one of the city’s best-known jewelers. To the left a few doors down Wood Street is the original Hughs and Hatcher man’s clothing store.
