  • In 1966 the old Caretaker’s House, which stood adjacent to the Fort Pitt Blockhouse in Point State Park, was demolished. The area adjacent to the Blockhouse today is the site of a museum dedicated to the history of Fort Pitt and early Pittsburgh.
