Description
Built by Colonel Henry Bouquet in 1764, the Fort Pitt Blockhouse, the only part of the original fort still standing, is located on its original site preserved by the Daughters of the American Revolution. Now part of Point State Park, the Blockhouse has beside it a museum, constructed as a part of the park development, devoted to the history of early Pittsburgh and Fort Pitt.
