Description
The new entrance and connection between the old building (former Tree of Life Synagogue) and the new addition of the Pittsburgh Playhouse. The Playhouse, which for years had brought quality drama to Pittsburgh, expanded during the 1950s and added space provided by the renovation of the Tree of Life Synagogue that was located next door. Following remodeling, the building was painted to match the refurbished original Playhouse next door (right). The Playhouse continues today to offer a season of plays in what has become a complex of three theatres associated with Point Park College.
