  • Tenement housing and conditions. The buildings are nestled close to the hill with barely space for the privy. They have a large billboard spanning the entire run of their roofs. The women on the porch in the left side of the image do not have much of a view as they look directly into the billboard and down into the privy area of the tenements below.
