  • A portrait of Herman H. Hofmann, a member of the Homeopathic Medical Society of Allegheny County. Hofmann, along with John C. Burgher and Marcellin Coté, founded the Homeopathic and Surgical Hospital and Dispensary of Pittsburgh, the predecessor to Shadyside Hospital, in 1866.
