  • Shown is an undated view of the clapboard Pearce's Mill, which was once located in what is now North Park in Town of McCandless, Allegheny County, PA. Standing in front of the mill are several men with a horse drawn wagon loaded with sacks of grain. The men are wearing work clothes and hats. A young boy sits holding the reins of the wagon. The mill was located on the property of Charles Pearce in the very northern part of Town of McCandless near the site of the present day Administration Building of North Park as shown on an 1876 land ownership map for Town of McCandless.
