  • By the 1970s bars and restaurants of all types were springing up along Monroeville’s strip, the Route 22 corridor between the Miracle Mile and the Monroeville Mall. Johnny Garneau’s, located just east of the Mall, was a popular dining spot where locals and out-of-towners could be found packing the place on weekends.
