Description
The Lemington Home for the Aged was established in 1900 as the first home for elderly black women in Western Pennsylvania. It was located at 7091 Lemington Avenue in Pittsburgh's Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood. This photograph was published in the Pittsburgh Courier on November 24, 1945.
