The bulk of this collection is comprised of scrapbooks that relate to his early life, career and the Screen Directors' Guild Movie Crtitcs of the Year award., Cohen was a motion picture and drama critic for the Pittsburgh Post gazette from 1929 to 1969. He began as a movie critic with a column titled "Drama Desk". In 1943, he became the drama editor for the newspaper. He also wrote for other publications, including Variety and Stage. He won numerous awards including the 1955 Screen Directors' Guild Movie Critic of the Year., Gift of Marion and Eugene Cohen, Processed MSS 334 6/1/2000 Julie Niklaus, Inventory available.
