Description
The Michael Family Photographs consist of prints and negatives in the form of 35 mm. strip negatives, class plates, and tinttypes. There are images of members of the Michael family and related families Fell, Miller, Nussbaum, and Schermer, as well as travel and nature photographs and five photograph albums., Joseph was an alderman in Uniontown, Pa. His wife Flora (Fell), and later their son Sol, ran Mrs. Michael's Children's Shop. Their oldest son, Louis Michael, became an engineer, working for various firms in western Pa.; their second son, Sidney, was a veterinarian in Erie. Sol Michael served in the Army in World War II., The materials were given in four accessions, Accession #1999.0246, #2000.0094, #2002.0058, and #2003.0203.
