Carll W. Doxsee (Professor of English) and Earl K. Wallace (Professor and Chairman of the Chemistry Department) lead the commencement recessional out of the Third Presbyterian Church, down Fifth Avenue. Just behind Doxsee and Wallace are Dean Mary Helen Marks and President Paul Russell Anderson.
