Description
In the art studio, Professor LeClair provides instruction to students painting a model. Charles LeClair studied at the Academie Ranson and had a studio in Paris before becoming the head of the art department at Chatham in 1946. Known for still lifes and abstracts, his works are frequently in exhibits throughout the United States. In 1960 LeClair moved to Philadelphia to became the Dean of the Tyler School of Art at Temple University. While there he founded the Tyler School in Rome, which continues today. Charles LeClair died in 2007, at the age of 92.
