Description
Shakespearean Broadway actor Arnold Moss sits among a group of Chatham drama students. Moss started performing on Broadway in the 1930s and continued through the 1950s, also doing radio, television, and movies throughout his career. Sitting in the front row, second from the right, is Liz Miller (Drama '56). At the left is Mrs. Phyllis Ferguson, chair of the Drama and Speech Department. Ferguson attended Emerson College, Yale University, and the University of Pittsburgh. She taught Drama at Chatham from 1943 to 1968. She was also a consultant to productions at the Nixon Theater, the Pittsburgh Playhouse, and QWED. She died in January 1992 and is buried in Churchill.
