Description
Braun Hall was built on the site of the original Berry and Dilworth Halls. Ground was broken for the new building on September 29, 1952 and it was dedicated on May 2, 1954 although students had been using it since Thanksgiving 1953. It contained offices for the school administration and student organizations as well as the air conditioned snack bar pictured here. The building was named after Arthur E. Braun who served on the Board of Trustees for over 30 years and was chairman of the board for over 25 years. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws by his fellow trustees in 1956. In this photograph, the students seated at the table in the far left corner have been identified as Charles LeClair (Art), Phyllis Ferguson (Drama), and Mildred Evanson (Drama).
