  • Bonnie McElvery, Class of 1981 and president of the Chatham Student Government, was invited to a meeting on foreign and domestic policy issues at The White House. 300 student leaders from colleges nationwide were invited. President Jimmy Carter addressed the group and then met many individually in the East Room.
