Description
The proposed Grant Plaza would have consisted of twin towers of 700,000 and 725,000 square feet respectively, with a 190,000 square foot glass-enclosed atrium connecting the towers. The atrium plaza level, an indoor garden, would have linked shops and restaurants within the building. The $100 million complex, located between Grant and Smithfield Streets in downtown Pittsburgh, would have also included a five-level, 1000 car underground parking garage. The Grant Plaza construction project never came to fruition.
