Description
The divided four-lane Dravosburg Bridge is officially known as the W.D. Mansfield Memorial Bridge. It is sometimes referred to as the Glassport-Dravosburg Bridge. The structure was built in 1951 by the County of Allegheny and replaced a low-level bridge that spanned the Monongahela River and linked McClure Street in Dravosburg to John Street in McKeesport. Most of the detailing of the bridge, such as lampposts and light fixtures remain intact from the original design. The cantilever through truss bridge has a total length (including longest elevated ramp) of 1,931 feet with the vertical clearance of the deck at 65.3 feet.
