Description
Engineering Hall, one of the original buildings of the Carnegie Institute’s Oakland campus, was designed by Henry Hornbostel of Palmer and Hornbostel (New York) and completed in early 1909 for the use of science students. A new front wing, begun during the administration of President Doherty, was added in the fall of 1950 in the same style as the original building. In 1964 Engineering Hall became Doherty Hall.
