Description
The old Tree of Life Synagogue, located at 222 Craft Avenue and home to a Jewish congregation for many years, stood abandoned following its purchase by the Pittsburgh Playhouse. It had been purchased through a grant from the A.W. Mellon Educational and Charitable Trust. The Playhouse continues to offer a season of plays in what has become a complex of three theatres associated with Point Park College.
