Description
A dramatic study in contrast shows the original Fort Pitt Blockhouse, dating back to pre-Revolutionary War days, in the foreground with the modern Westinghouse Building rising behind it. The Blockhouse is today part of the historical center and tourist attraction in Point State Park. The Westinghouse Corporation, once a vital part of Pittsburgh, sold the building and today the structure, located at 11 Stanwix Street in downtown Pittsburgh, is used for commercial offices as part of the Gateway Center office-building complex.
