  • The Mesta Machine Company was one of the leading manufacturers of machine tool and steel mill equipment in the world during the first half of the twentieth century. Some of their products included, gas and steam blowing engines for blast furnaces, forging presses, shears, cut and machine-molded gears, and various types of rolls used in rolling mills. Mesta also manufactured various types of tooth gears up to 32 feet in diameter and 6 feet wide made of air furnace melted cast iron, acid open hearth steel, or alloy steel.
