Contains a detailed review of the history, age, and ownership of 838 North Lincoln Avenue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The home was built at the request of Pittsburgh iron and still manufacturer B.F. Jones and his wife, Mary McMasters Jones, in 1889 for their daughter, Elizabeth Jones Horne and her husband, Joseph O. Horne. Elizabeth Jones Horne and her family lived there between 1889 and 1906. Afterwards the house was rented to Madelaine F. Laughlin Alexander and her husband, Maitland Alexander. The couple lived at 838 for four years before moving. Henry B. and Constance Alden Darlington rented the home between 1912 and 1915. Elizabeth Horne sold the house in 1916.
