An official portrait of Albert Harper in his Army uniform. Harper served in the 139th Regiment of the Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, the Department of the Monongahela, Department of Pennsylvania, and breveted the rank of Major and Assistant Adjutant-General of U.S. Volunteers.
