Description
Home of Peter Levergood, located on Levergood Street. Levergood was was one of the earliest developers in Johnstown, and through investments and opportunity, became one of Johnstown's leading citizens as the small settlement grew into a canal town and later steel town. Levergood built the house in 1821. At the time this photograph was taken, the house was used as the office of a Dr. Fry, a dentist. Located next to this house is the shoemaker's shop of Ephram Frank.
