Description
View of one of the four bronze panther sculptures designed by Italian artist Giuseppe Moretti which stand at each corner of Panther Hollow Bridge. Looking southwest near the intersection with Schenley Drive. The sculptures were created the same year as the Panther Hollow Bridge itself. The bridge was designed by Henry B. Rust and built in 1897. The main span of the bridge is 360 feet long and the deck is 120 feet high. The nearby Schenley Bridge, also constructed in 1897, is nearly identical to Panther Hollow. The main distinguishing features about Panther Hollow Bridge are the four bronze panthers designed by Giuseppe Moretti.
