Description
A group of men pause from their boat repairing to pose for a photo at the South Fork Fishing and Hunting Club (Pa.). In the background, from left to right, rest the cottages built by Maxwell K. Moorhead (1831-1897), P. C. Knox (1853-1921),à Jesse H. Lippincott (1842-1894), andà Lewis Irwin (1846-1918). The vacant space between the Lippincott cottage and the Irwin cottage was later filled byà James W. Brown (1844-1909) in 1888. That cottage is still standing, and it is known as the Brown Cottage, though it was once referred to as the Knox Cottage. The cottages built by Knox and Lippincott are both still standing as well.
