Description
In the mid-1950s, another Monroeville establishment rose to prominence very much in the tradition of the country roadhouse. John Bertera’s Holiday House, established on William Penn Highway, was to become a local landmark. The Holiday House was a supper club that featured fine dining, and a rich array of star-studded entertainment including headliners like: Benny Goodman, Andy Williams, Ben Vereen, Cyd Charisse, Milton Berle, Phyllis Diller and Tony Bennet.
