  • View of the Johnstown Inclined Plane. The plane was built after the 1889 flood to connect the city to the borough of Westmont. It was designed by Samuel Diescher, who also designed Pittsburgh's Duquesne and Monongahela Inclines, and is the steepest vehicular incline in the world.
