Description
Picture of Michael Belejcak's tombstone. Michael Belejcak was the father of Thomas Bell, a novelist who wrote "Out of the Furnace" in 1941. This novel was based on Bell's family's immigration and subsequent role in Pittsburgh's steel industry. The book was republished by the University of Pittsburgh Press in 1976 and became a bestseller.
