The Historical Society of Upper St. Clair Archives contains photographic collections, scrapbooks, subject files, correspondence, oral histories, personal papers, news clippings, maps, manuscript collections and other documentation from local families, businesses, and organizations. Of special note, the archive holds the Gilfillan Family Papers and Photograph Collection.

The Historical Society of Upper St. Clair exists to operate, restore, and preserve The Gilfillan Farm, a mid-late 1800s working farm designated as a National Historical Place by the United States Department of the Interior, for general public educational, historical, and cultural purposes. The Historical Society of Upper St. Clair also exists to collect, preserve, document, and make accessible to the general public photographs, artifacts, and documents related to the historical development of the Upper St. Clair area, including the events, individuals, and organization that have shaped this history.
