Description
Citizens Passenger Railway Horsecar, No. 9, Fifth Avenue and Cemetery, stops for passengers. On March 22, 1859, the Citizens Passenger Railway Company obtained a charter for construction and operation of the first street railway in Pittsburgh. Initially, the track was built on Penn Avenue from Saint Clair (now Sixth) Street to 26th Street.
