Description
Women dressed in military or police style uniforms and holding billy clubs, line up on either side of entrance to a brick building. Signs read Sen. Truman will appear here tonight 8 P.M." and "Truman The Hill District Welcomes You." Harry S. Truman served as a United States Senator from 1935-1945, two consecutive terms. He was elected Vice President of the United States under President Franklin Roosevelt in 1944, and became President after the death of President Roosevelt in 1945."
