Description
Pomeroyal C. Fountain, swimming instructor, lived at 3107 Centre Avenue in 1938-41. Teenie Harris had photographed him instructing boys in a Red Cross life-saving class at the Y in 1942. In 1945 Fountain is listed as physical director" at the Centre Avenue YMCA and in 1948 as a teacher at the A. Leo Weil Elementary School. He died before 1951. Here he is standing with three rows of boys in bathing suits posed by the edge of an indoor pool."
