Description
Eight boxers line up for a portrait in a boxing ring. The fighter in the center is holding a trophy plaque. They are wearing satin robes with dark trim and boxing shoes. In the late 1950's amateur boxing in Pittsburgh was popular. These Golden Gloves participants competed frequently to hold their titles. The fighter seen here (4th from left) is heavyweight Buddy Moore, one of the most prominent figures in Pittsburgh boxing. He trained under his father, legendary local trainer Lee Moore.
